In the Beginning
his
poster from 1849 is the earliest poster discovered in the Society's McCormick-International Harvester Collection to date.
Posters of the 1840s and 1850s usually featured small
illustrations and dense text. They often explained the technical
features of the products they advertised and included
endorsements from satisfied customers.
