2020 Public Program Award Winner Announced
The Wisconsin Farms Oral History Project received the 2020 Public Program Award from the Wisconsin Historical Society for their "Lands We Share" Traveling Exhibition and Community Conversation Tour.
About the Program
The "Lands We Share" initiative included a traveling exhibition and public dialogue tour that focused on the intersection of farming, land, ethnic culture, and history in Wisconsin. The exhibit featured the stories, histories, artifacts, images, and sounds of five culturally and regionally distinct farms and farm sites and invited visitors to share their own stories, insights, and questions. From October 2018 to May 2019, each stop on the tour included a three-week run at a community-based venue near one of the five sites and a farm-to-table Community Conversation.
