CRENELLATED PARAPET ABOVE TUDOR ARCHED ENTRY. Roosevelt Elementary School was built between 1927 and 1928 and replaced approximately a dozen portable structures, then known as Salem Elementary School. Architect John D. Chubb was the architect of the building; he also designed five other Kenosha schools. Dedication of the school building occurred on 5 October 1928.
