Additional Information:Scott was a banker. The house was later owned by real estate developer Hugh Spear between 1861 and the late 19th century. BUILDING WAS AN EARLY ROOMING HOUSE during the first two decades of the 20th century and was known as "The Southern." Between 1918 and 1920, the building housed the Kenosha Grand Conservatory of Music. In 1923, attorney Alfred L. Drury bought the house and his family lived here until the 1950s. He was a Kenosha native who attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 1906, he was admitted to the bar and in 1907 he began practicing law in Kenosha. He also served as district attorney and circuit court judge. He was appointed to the State Supreme Court but declined because of a family illness.
