Additional Information: | Southern portion of building built by Stephen Weber from 1870-73. A German immigrant, Weber's brewery was producing 2,200 barrels of beer by 1882. During Prohibition the brewery was converted into a dairy prior to 1933 when it again produced beer. Northern portion of building constructed in 1946-47 as a bottling house. In 1958, this brewery merged with Fox Head Brewing Company of Waukesha, which consolidated operations at their plant. Subject building converted to auto-related activities. |
