Additional Information:Two story tower was added at a later date. House achieved its current configuration between 1901-1911.

2001:
Built in ca. 1885, this was the home of the Boyd family. By no later than 1892, Hugh and his wife Lizzie, along with daughter Mary resided here. At that time, Hugh was retired and Lizzie was working as a seamstress. By no later than 1900, the Boyd family in residence consisted of Robert and Maria. Robert passed away between 1920 and 1925 and Maria remained in the home into the 1930s. A renter occupied the home in the early 1940s; however, by 1950, the home had been purchased by Mrs. Virginia Kester.
