Additional Information:Sanborn-Perris maps show that this bank occupied a two-story brick building on this same site at least as early as 1884. It is probably older than that and may be shown on the 1873 Harrison & Warner map of Fox Lake as well. The building originally had a Commercial Vernacular design but was updated, either in 1908 or 1912, and given a Classical Revival face lift.
