NOTES
Additional Information:BRACKETED CORNICE 2025; This two-story Boomtown-styled commercial retail building was constructed in 1898. The asymmetrical footprint is oriented northwards along Bassett Road. The building has a stone foundation, wood clapboard siding, and an asphalt shingled gabled roof behind the Boomtown false front that once housed a bracketed cornice line. The centralized front entrance is elevated by a full-width porch of rock-faced masonry blocks. The storefront contains a pair of replacement vinyl picture windows flanked by casements on either side and are centered around the front entry’s wood-paneled double doors supporting a two-pane transom. Paneled wall surfaces are underneath the storefront’s two sills. The historic window fenestrations have been reduced in size with infill and have replacement squared, single fixed vinyl windows at the second floor. Several one-story additions are present at the east, west, and south sides. There appears to be none to minimal changes from the last survey date (2019).
