Additional Information: | A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. "This is the oldest surviving retail building in Mazomanie. Of wood frame construction, it was one of Mazomanie's earliest retail buildings. (Other early frame buildings were destroyed by fire or simply torn down and replaced. Designed in the Greek Revival style, the early facade has been greatly altered, retaining only the gable window. It has been used for a drug store, a beauty shop, and offices. The second floor has been used for residences. One of the early citizens of Mazomanie, Davidson retired from his business in the early 1870s to a farm in the town of Roxbury."
