NOTES
Additional Information:This two-story Queen Anne house was constructed in 1906 for Anton and Johanna Vogel (an earlier, c.1880, Vogel House is located west of this building on STH 33 on a separate parcel). It is rectangular in plan with cream brick walls and a steeply-pitched, asphalt-shingled hipped roof. The front elevation faces north and is asymmetrical in composition with a two-story projecting bay across the western half of the façade; the bay is capped by a closed gable with decorative modillions below and a stone plaque at its center reading A. Vogel / 1906. Both stories of the projecting bay contain cottage windows at the center (featuring leaded glass upper sashes) with 1-over-1 windows on each side. East of the bay is a one-story entry porch with a hipped roof that features decorative modillions or diminutive brackets; the porch features a newer wood floor and railings with squared wood support posts. The porch shelters a single door and a cottage window with leaded glass upper sash and decorative shutters. Above the porch is a single 1-over-1 window with decorative shutters. All windows feature stone sills and lintels. A newer balcony has been added at a second-story door in the east elevation and is accessed by a flight of newer wood steps.
