1997 "This frame Italianate was built in 1880 by Oliver S. Knapp on 3 acres of land purchased from Lavellette Tabor, an early village business man. Later it became the home of Thomas Baker, Post Master from 1861 to 1894. It was also the home of Jennie Baker, grade school teacher and world traveler. for some years it served the community as a rest home."
