NOTES
Additional Information:2023: Nonextant, not resurveyed 1997 "Tabor Hall was built by E. P. Tabor in 1887. The stones for this large structure were hauled from Sumpter by horse and wagon. It was five stories high on the river side and two stories on the street level. It contained a service elevator to lower merchandise and farm produce from the upper stories to the ground floor where it would be loaded onto the river boats and later onto railroad cars. The upper floor was for many years a popular hall containing a stage and balcony. Many road shows stopped there and it was used for church, school and community activities. The first floor housed a variety of businesses which included a mercantile store, grocery, restaurant, bakery, tavern, and shoe store. In 1945, the upper floor was converted into five apartments."
