NOTES
Additional Information:2018
The c.1900, two-story, rectangular-plan, former Gotham School is clad in brick and rests on a raised stone foundation. The hip roof is covered in asphalt shingles and features an interior brick chimney and a prominent gable dormer on the front (south) facade that displays wood shingles and a Palladian-style, arched tripartite louvers. The overhanging eaves extend over the windows and are supported by wood brackets. The central entrance below the dormer has two replacement doors in an arched, elevated, recessed opening. The original window openings have stone sills and soldier course lintels; the original windows have been replaced with downsized casements and wooden boards. The raised basement level features glass-block windows on the front and east elevation, as well as square casement windows on the west elevation. The front facade also has a basement level addition with a flat roof. A one-story addition has been added to the rear (north) elevation. The addition has a concrete foundation and is clad in brick with a hipped roof. The building has been converted into a residence.
