Additional Information: | 2017 This two- story American Foursquare house was constructed c.1905. It is clad in alternating bands of chamfered and rusticated concrete blocks and rests on a coursed concrete block foundation with a water table. Asphalt shingles cover the hip roof, which features wide, overhanging eaves and central hip dormers clad in vinyl siding on the front (south) and side (east and west) slopes. A hip roof porch spans the front facade, supported by concrete posts with coursed accents and a concrete block balustrade. The front (south) facade also features a second-story balcony with square wood posts. The side (east) elevation each features a two-story projected bay and an exterior brick and concrete block chimney. Windows are generally one-over-one, double-hung with colored concrete lintels and sills. On the rear (north) elevation, an exterior stair or two-story rear porch appears to have been enclosed. The property includes a c.1905 hip roof shed and c.1915 front gable garage built of similar decorative concrete blocks, located at the rear of the house. A c.1960 hip roof two-car garage is located east of the earlier garage, and a c.1905 gambrel roof barn with stucco-clad walls is set back slightly from the c.1960 garage. |
