Additional Information: | The house was changed to its current configuration in 1902. It was owned by Mrs. Ed Brickson at the time. According to the 1880 History of Dane Co., Edward Brickson was born in Norway on July 27, 1820 and came to Wisconsin in 1847. He married Orsa Hunt, also of Norway, in 1849 in Janesville. She came to Wisconsin in 1842. As of 1880, they lived on their 345 acre farm in Pleasant Springs. They had 10 children: Hendra, Mary, Peter, Mattie, Jacob, Christina, John, Anna, Andrew, and Abram. They were members of the Lutheran Church. |
