NOTES
Additional Information:POTENTIAL ARCHITECTURAL VALUE IN FUTUREINTERIOR AND EXTERIOR INTACT [Date Cnst:(A)] Although this one-story cream brock and glass front modern department store is considered non-contributing in the district, its architectural integrity and fine design of interior and exter may render it significant in the future. The Shores Block once stood on this site as a three story brick building that once housed Ashland Building Association. The J.C. Penney Company has been part of this West 2nd Street commercial district for many years and was formerly at 316 W. Second St. (#50) where Woolworth's is now. The 1928 Ashland City Directory shows J.C. Penney at 301 West 2nd Street (#29) where Coast to Coast is.
