NOTES
Additional Information:The Bank One building is a Contemporary building built c. 1907. The bank was originally constructed by Janesville's First National Bank, although it has housed a number of financial institutions since its construction. First National Bank was one of Janesville's most important financial institutions in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The bank stood at the 100 block of of W. Milwaukee Street throughout the late nineteenth century, and in 1912 the bank demolished its old building to build a new building on the same block. The current Contemporary bank building expanded, and ultimately replaced, the 1912 First National Bank building. First National Bank sold the building in the 1980s, and several financial institutions have used the space in the last three decades. As of the 2017, the building was vacant. - Architecture/History Survey by Mead & Hunt, Inc.
