Additional Information:Founded by brothers John F and Joseph Herda in 1923, this building was for Herda’s Hardware Store and Farm Implement dealer in the community of St. Martins. Herda’s was one of two stores catering to the needs of 20th century farmers and farm families in the area. The family namesake became a TrueValue store in 1963 and ultimately closed in 2005.
