Additional Information: | This is a two-story, front gabled house resting on a stone foundation. A narrow wooden cornice encircles the asphalt-covered roof. The main elevation has an inset entryway and a facade-length concrete stoop. A modern, attached deck is on the north elevation and a one-story, clapboard-sided, gabled addition projects from the rear. Fenestration generally consists of one-over-one, double-hung sashes with wood surrounds topped mostly with pedimented hoods. A front-gabled, plywood-sided garage also exists on the property. Plat maps indicate John Andrews owned the property in 1872, and until at least the 1890s. |
