The commercial/industrial building with the “RUPP” sign is a later addition built in 1940, and the two buildings were attached at the time of the 1980 inventory. The schoolhouse is associated with late 19th/early 20th century rural development in the Town of Beloit, whereas the commercial/industrial building is associated with urban/suburban sprawl from the City of Beloit. |
