Additional Information: | The front facade faces northeast. 2012- "The Rev. Frederick Kluckhohn House, built in 1878, is a two-and-one-half-story rectangular-plan vernacular residence with modest Queen Anne influences. The walls are clad in asbestos siding and the hip and gable roof is covered in asphalt shingles. The front (northeast) facade features a pair of cross gables, one of which projects from the facade. The entrance is centered on the front facade, sheltered by a small gable roof entry porch with turned posts and a decorative scroll-sawn balustrade, valences, and a sunburst motif. An additional projecting gable is located on each of the side elevations. Most windows contain one-over-one, double-hung, wood sash with plain casings. The gable ends feature decorative wood shingles and a single square window with multi-light borders. A large window with a stained glass transom is located on the lower story on the south side of the entrance, below a set of paired, one-over-one, double-hung, wood sash on the upper story." -"STH 16/60, Industrial Dr to Manning St (USH 151)", WIS-DOT 1401-02-01 & 1401-02-04, prepared by Mead & Hunt, Inc., (2012). |
