Additional Information: | This house contributes to the architectural significance of the proposed Jefferson Avenue Historic District as a good example of the Queen Anne style. Although the house has vinyl siding, it still has the decorative features of the style, including cross pieces and porches with spool and spindle work. The house also has the irregular form and massing of the style. The house was probably built by carpenter Henry Knox, a native of New York. His wife, Susan, was born in Canada. By 1910, the Knox family had moved to 1250 Court Street. |
