Additional Information: | A 'site file' titled "North Avenue Residential Historic District" exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. 2004 - Rambling brick school has large entrance tower and is decorated in stone with Art Deco motifs. Windows stopped down and replaced pre-1996. North High School was built as a direct result of Sheboygan's early twentieth century growth at the north side of the city. Construction on the $650,000 school was completed through PWA efforts. The school housed high school students until the present day North High School opened in 1961. It was then reverted back to a middle school as originally intended. The school underwent a $402,000 remodeling project in 1978. |
