Additional Information: | 128 North Pelham Street Hjalmar Dannfield-Thomas Pattinson House This two-story, frame, Queen Anne house was erected for Hjalmar Dannfield in 1886 (New North, May 27, 1886). The squat, polygonal tower that pierces the low slope of the roof on the front facade of the house gives the building a Shingle style flavor. The full-facade, cutaway porch has exposed rafters, simple posts and a plain wood balustrade. Dannfield (occupation unknown) owned the house until circa 1905. Another long-time owner was Thomas Pattinson, here from at least 1920 until at least 1965. Pattinson had a laundry service (Rhinelander City Directories). |
