This one-story, hip-roofed, log-finished office building is Craftsman-influenced. Built circa 1925
for the Thunder Lake Lumber Company, it features exposed rafters and a hip-roofed dormer.
The Thunder Lake Lumber Company was founded in 1920 (Rhinelander telephone books). It
went out of business circa 1942 (Rhinelander City Directories). John Mylrea was president of
the organization, and several other men were long-time members of the board of directors,
including Charles E. Lovett, J. O. Moen, Solon D. Sutliff, and Dr. Clarence Richards. This
building has housed Genisot and Associates, civil engineers, since at least 1946.
