NOTES
Additional Information:Carpenter sold house to S.S. Slater in c. 1860 who built the hip-roofed wing. An early (c. 1845-1850) limestone one and one-half story gable roofed cottage with two windows over a central door, flanked by windows on either side; house originally also had returned cornices and wide eave boards. Subsequently, (c. 1875-1880) the hipped roof wing to the south was added, including a new entrance door with lights and irregularly spaced fenestration. Entrance and paired front window have round arched lintels and there is a bay window on the south facade. The original house was built by A. B. Carpenter and sold to S.S. Slater in 1860; the wing was used for grain storage but was subsequently cleaned up and the new south wing built. (B) Abandoned c. 1977, the house was recently rehabilitated and occupied.
