NOTES
Additional Information:Contractor was Greisler. Original cost was $12,000. The J. Obermann Brewing Co. of Milwaukee erected this building. Besides the saloon, in 1892 and 1894 this building housed the Stolberg and Mayer Grocery, the law office of John Lunn, and a tailor shop. This building was also a meeting place for social clubs, parties and lectures. In 1910, the Jung Brewery Co. purchased the building. It then contained a saloon and a pool hall on its first floor. By 1910, a blacksmith shop and several hitching sheds also appeared behind the building. John Weber purchased and renamed the building by 1930. Harold Schramm of Menomonee Falls and Elmer Schneider of Lannon purchased the building in 1945; Weber had died in 1942. They operated the building as a tavern and restaurant and also leased spaces for offices, a barbershop, and flats.
