Additional Information: | CNR TURRET W/PYRAMIDAL ROOF ABOVE ENTRANCE. SEGMENTAL ARCH WINDOWS AND DOORS. William Minton erected the Menomonee Hotel in 1892. Except for 1902-1908, Minton ran this hotel and restaurant until 1919. Anton Schneider ran the hotel from 1902-1908 while Minton developed a lumber business in Waukesha. Minton turned the hotel business over to his son Ben in 1919 and sold the building to him in 1924. Ben not only ran the hotel and restaurant but also rented space to a drug store. He operated the hotel until about 1944. |
