Additional Information: | This frame bungalow on an elevated basement has a sloping roof that is intersected by a gabled rectangular bay. Purlins under the eaves, exposed rafter ends, decorative shingles in the gable end and elongated rectangular windows over clear plate glass are features of this long bungalow. The entrance onto the porch supported by short square posts on masonry bases is located at the long side of the house. 2016- "Constructed c.1920, this one-and-one-half-story frame house has a rectangular plan and rests on a stucco-covered masonry foundation. The walls are clad in vinyl siding and the hip roof is covered in standing seam metal. The house displays modest Craftsman influence in the low-pitched roof with overhanging eaves, exposed rafter tails and knee braces, and a wide shed dormer on the side (west) elevation. A front-gable porch with square columns on rusticated concrete block piers dominates the southeast corner of the front (south) facade and has been enclosed with pairs of modern, one-over-one, double-hung, sash windows and vinyl siding. The porch features patterned shingles and a six-light, fixed sash window in the gable end. The main entrance is via metal, multi-light, French doors on the east side of the porch. Fenestration includes six-over-one, double-hung sash windows with simple wood surrounds." -"STH 23: County Shop Rd to Minerva St", WisDOT#5245-02-02/72 and 5245-02-02/73, Prepared by Mead & Hunt, Inc., (2016). |
