Additional Information: | A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, Division of Historic Preservation-Public History. A large, brick warehouse with a flat sloping roof that has stepped side elevations. Plain, unadorned windows of multi-lights with stone sills characterize this utilitarian structure. A large double doored service entrance on the north also characterize the building. This building is important because it is one of the few utilitarian structures remaining from the turn of the century when the railroad was an important element in the economic activity of Darlington. In addition, the building is important as an example of historic utilitarian architecture that has retained its original character. |
