Additional Information:Arched raised brick window hoods with corbelled ends; concrete block open entrance porch and north attached garage; two story flat roofed front and south wooden bay windows with bracketed eaves; rear wing with open side porch with bracketed eaves and carved posts.

The property was entered in the tax records of 1890 under the name George Nelson, with a valuation of $1200. George Nellins, a railroad engineer, lived here between c. 1893 and c. 1930. Initial research indicates that none of the occupants of this house are historically significant either individually, or as a group within the proposed historic district.

This building does not meet the criteria of the NRHP for architectural significance because of a lack of integrity. However, this building has sufficient architectural character to contribute to the proposed historic district.
