Additional Information: | This 2 1/2 story Queen Anne commercial building was constructed in 1899 as a grocery. It is rectangular in plan with brick and clapboard walls and an asphalt-shingled gable roof. The front elevation faces northwest and is asymmetrical in plan. The first story contains a bank of modern shop windows with a band of small fixed-sash windows above and two single doors; the second story contains a three-sided bay window adjacent to a single 1-over-1 window. A pair of smaller 1-over-1 windows is located below the gable; the wall under the gable is clad in wood clapboard siding while the first- and second-story walls are painted brick. A new exterior mural was painted on 11/30/2017 and covered the previous mural that was painted by Niki Glen. The interior of the building was not available for viewing or photographing at the time of this survey. Map code is 0709-132-1035-1 (part). Resurveyed August 2012; changes include the replacement of first-story windows. |
