Additional Information: | BUNGALOW ADDITION ON SIDE. BUNGALOW STYLE BRACKETS UNDER EAVES; ONE IN CENTER OF OCTAGONAL GABLE WINDOW. 2002: Tax records and business gazetteers suggest that this house was constructed for Chris Lugveil sometime in the 1870s. Lugveil was a blacksmith who utilized an adjacent building for his shop into the 1920s. By 1930, the house was owned by Herman Schielke who maintained it into the 1940s. Schielke most likely modified eaves and added the knee bracing. In 1955, it had been passed onto William Kehrein. No information on Schielke or Kehrein was located. |
