Bibliographic References:Permit dates to 5 April 1937; est. cost, $11,000. Owner, E. N. Lightfoot; contractor, Dick Wiersma. Although Lightfoot, an electrical engineer, is identified as the owner, he resided at 1850 68th Street in Wauwatosa, both before and after the home's construction. The first confirmed owner-occupants of the home were Edmund Jr. and Isabelle Wabislewski as of the 1940 census. Permits indicate an addition was made to the rear of the house in 1957 (permit, 9 July) at a cost of $3,500, at which time Alvin Grellinger was the owner. Fire damage repairs were done in both 1973 and 1989.
