TUDOR ARCHED STAINED GLASS WINDOW W/ TRACERY ROUND ARCHED DOOR IN SQUARE CRENELLATED TOWER. RE-SURVEYED 2009. THE FIRST EDIFICE OF THE CHURCH WAS DEDICATED IN THIS LOCATION ON DECEMBER 31, 1893 AT A COST OF $1,700. GROWING PAINS INDUCED PLANS FOR A SECOND EDIFICE IN 1922. PLANS WERE DRAFTED FOR THE REMODELING OF THE CHURCH. THIS REMODELING INCLUDED THE RAISING OF THE BUILDING, THE ADDITION OF AN INTERIOR SIDE ROOM, AS WELL AS THE CRENALLATED BELL TOWER, AND ALSO THE PRESENT NEO-GOTHIC REVIVAL DESIGN. THE REMODELED CHURCH WAS RE-DEDICATED ON NOVEMBER 25, 1923. ADDITIONAL IMPROVEMENTS TO THE CHURCH WERE COMPLETED IN 1961, INCLUDING THE ADDITION OF A STUDY AT THE REAR OF THE CHURCH. THE BAPTIST CONGREGATION RESIDED IN THE CHURCH UNTIL NOVEMBER 1, 2002, WHEN THEY DISBANDED. THE CHURCH IS PRESENTLY MAINTAINED AND OCCUPIED BY THE LIVING SPIRIT CHURCH. |
