Additional Information: | The Wauwatosa Building and Loan Association was constructed in 1914. The Building and Loan Association was organized in 1921 by prominent Wauwatosa residents L.L. Gridley, Charles Jacobus, and Edward Geske. Geske’s insurance office was also a tenant in the building. The Building and Loan remained until 1949, when the property was occupied by the Wauwatosa Savings Bank. The Wauwatosa Savings Bank constructed a new postmodern style bank nearby at 7500 West State Street in 1970. |
