Bibliographic References: | National Register Nomination Form. The Daily Reporter, 8 April 1930, identifies that a $60,000 house and garage at 135 Washington Circle was built for Walter Truettner, which was designed by architect Ray Dieterich (incorrectly spelled Dietrich). City directories confirm the old address with the current; as of 1932, the house was owned/occupied by the Hansens. Thorvald was an engineer. "New Washington Highlands Home," a photo of the home and a caption is in The Milwaukee Journal, 23 November 1930, Section IIII, page 8. Ad for the home's sale by Wauwatosa Realty Co. in the Milwaukee Journal, 16 February 1952. |
