Bibliographic References:The 1929 city directory and 1930 census confirm that the Swendsons resided here (old address was 325). Swendson owned an automobile sales business. Prior to this home, they resided at 4728 W. Blue Mound Road (Story Hill subdivision), in a home they had built for themselves in 1919. Original permit dated 14 April 1926. The owner is E.A. Swendson, the contractor is identified as R.A. Uecker, Inc., and the estimated cost was $40,000. The Daily Reporter, 17 April 1926, identifies the architects of the home as Buemming & Guth. Original plans by Buemming & Guth in possession of current owners.
