NOTES
Additional Information:This building housed a bicycle shop and a laundry, and a shoe shine shop in the early twentieth century. Because this building has had significant alterations not in keeping with its historic appearance, it does not meet the criteria for local history.

A small brick building enlarged at the rear several times in the early twentieth century, this commercial building originally was built for J. Kohlmetz. Initially a two-story building, the structure was reduced to one-story also in the early twentieth century. In addition, the remodeled building has been altered by the remodeled contemporary styled storefront. The original cream brick construction is evident at the rear.

The J. Kohlmetz building has suffered extensive and unsympathetic alterations of its architectural character. Because of the extensive alteration of its historic character, this building does not contribute to the Main Street Commercial Historic District.
