Additional Information: | Exhibiting the combined hip and gable roof form commonly found in the Queen Anne style, this cream brick house features multiple overhangs and projectors including a gabled roofed dormer, two-story east side bay window, bay window on the facade and open front porch supported by fluted Tuscan columns. Leaded glass and a high cut-stone foundation are additional features. Garage. One of the relatively few buildings in the city exhibiting the influence of the Queen Anne style, this house has retained a good degree of architectural integrity. However, as part of the group in Watertown exhibiting only moderate architectural character, this house us not an architecturally significant example of the Queen Anne style. |
