Additional Information: | A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the State Historical Society, Division of Historic Preservation. This two-story ranger station featured a masonry construction and an asphalt shingled roof. The building was demolished in 1992 due to structural problems. Still in existance is a park site complete with a beach and a dock, but the picnic shelters are now gone, as is the Highway Y park area. All that remains is an outhouse located at the northwest corner the new ranger station, and a flagpole. |
