Additional Information:Kommers' (1884-1966) lived here from 1923-1939. Was a professor of engineering mechanics from 1913-1953 at the University of Wisconsin. Was an emeritus professor from 1954-1966. Co-authored with H.F. Moore Fatigue of Metals which was the first American book on the subject and has seen many editions. Kommers was a pioneer in the field of metal fatigue and an internationally expert on the topic.
