Additional Information: | A brick two-story with sloping roof that has cut-shingles decorating the open gable ends. Smaller side gables intersect the main gable. The double brick segmental arches over the windows are included in a polychromatic brick string courses that encircle the entire house, separating the house into distinct structural layers. A double doored entrance with transom and spindle porches with deck roofs at the front and side further characterize this vernacular Victorian Gothic structure. This house is architecturally significant because it is one of two examples of a polychromatic brick Victorian Gothic house in Shullsburg. For the most part, it remains in its original condition. |
