Additional Information:The Albany Hardware Specialty Manufacturing Company was established in c. 1900 by Harris Morgan Whitcomb, who perfected a good door latch. According to a newspaper account, Whitcomb's latch was "shipped all over the United States and to many foreign countries." Two years ago the door latch manufactory was moved to Janesville.
