Additional Information:Two story frame Italianate style house with hipped roof, double brackets with pendants and a bay window. Across main facade is a porch. The building was owned by Edmund and Ann Purnell who came to America from England in 1851. The Purnells came to Merrillan in 1877 where he opened a hardware store. After his death in 1886, his son George W. took over.
