| Additional Information: | One story brick building with gable roof and resting on a concrete foundation. The Hatfield Canal and Dam is one of the earliest canals and dams in the state that was constructed to operate hydro-electric generating equipment. It cost $1,500,000.00 and was built by the La Crosse Water Power Co. It took some 700 workmen using three steam dredges to complete the job. |
