Additional Information: | The house on this estate is a long, rambling one-story building that appears to have been buit in sections. Most of the house has a gable roof, but there is one section that has a hip roof. The entire roof is covered with wood shingles. An octagonal tower sits at one end of the house and is two and one-half stories in height. Most of the openings are irregular in size and form but many of the windows are single-pane double-hung sashes. A large greenhouse addition is attached to one wall of the house. A mid-twentieth century colonial style garage matches the house. Also on the property is a large greenhouse complex and a basement barn. The barn has a stone foundation, board siding, and a gable roof. These buildings were owned by industrialist Frank L. Weyenberg. |
