NOTES
Additional Information:Resurveyed 2021 by HRL (Vogel). See also AHI #243394 and AHI #7409. Built in 1911 was the farm’s Milk Bottling Plant (AHI #7410). It is a two-story barn-like structure with a gambrel roof and prominent flared eaves. It is notable for its construction of split granite boulders. Facing STH 59 immediately to the north, and set in the north roof planes are five symmetrically placed, shed-roof dormers all sheathed with aluminum, clapboard-like siding. The center dormer claims two, one-over-one-light, double-hung windows while the two dormers to either side each have one window. There are no dormers in the south-facing roof planes. The north-facing sidewall has two, three casement window units and two, two window units. All have an inset panel above the windows, above which are stone window heads that clearly highlight the fact that all these windows are new, as does the fact that the easternmost window has been stoned-in, though the stone sill and head remain. The east endwall is two stories, the windows on the first floor mirroring those in the north sidewall, while the three, perhaps original, one-over-one-light, double hung sashes remain in the second floor. Centered above the center second floor window is a stone that identifies the building as part of Robert G. Morey’s Pleasant Valley Farm. It has a date of 1911. Above that, in the gable peak, is aluminum, clapboard-like siding.
