OAHP INVENTORY (07/1981):
New London Bottling Works was founded in 1882 by Wenzel Hamm. Hamm previously lived in New London since 1873. The company originally manufactured ginger ale, seltzer water, cream beer, cider, etc. The firm has continued to manufacture beverages over the years, changing ownership four times. Other previous owners include the Walter Spearing family, Melvin Glocke, and Mr. Becker, whom at one time had partial ownership in The Becker, Beyer brewing operation. The present owner in Tony Wochinski, who now bottles Kist soda pop and delivers within a 75 mile radius.

The New London Bottling Co. is a rectangular, two story building, measuring 28' x 48', with a stone foundation. The immediate front of the building has a block foundation. There is a gabled roof with a boom-town facade. There is an addition to the rear of the structure which measures 15' x 28'. It has a molded cement foundation, is one story, and has a gabled roof.
