Additional Information: | Sanborn-Perris maps show that this Astylistic Utilitarian form two-story brick over hollow tile building was constructed as a warehouse between 1905 and 1911. It is now houses a farm supply business. 1995- "Warehouse (now North Center Farmer's Store), VE26/5. Sanborn maps show that this two-story rectilinear plan Astylistic Utilitarian form building was built between 1905 and 1911 as a warehouse for an unknown owner. The building has brick-clad walls (over building tile) and the walls rise up to a simple parapet that hides the building's flat roof. One-over-one-light double hung windows flank an entrance door positioned on the left-hand side of the westfacing main facade and a garage door opening is positioned to the right of this group. Other flat-arched window openings on the main and side elevations have now been covered over with plywood, however, and it is not known if the original windows are still in place behind them. Regardless, the very simple design of this building makes it unlikely that it is individually eligible for listing in the NRHP." - "USH 14 Transportation Study ", WisDOT ID #1646-07-00, Prepared by Timothy F Heggland (1995). |
